My son is 15 and can barely read. He is 504. When he reads, he can't
understand it. He is in regular High School Rooms and needs other services.
He isn't learning anything and he gets frustrated. He gets decent grades
because he does all of his homework, but fails all the tests.

The school computer accidently placed him in a Special Ed Social Studies
class. He loved it. For the first time he was really learning. Then they
took him out 6 weeks into it and put him in the regular class. He was very
upset, I was upset but, we couldn't stop the school because he was only 504
certified. Can anyone tell me what I can and cannot ask for at the IEP? I
feel like my son is really being pushed through school and not learning a
