My former wife and I have been in a heated battle with our local public school. Our oldest son was just diagnosed with asbergers. He is 12 years old and is highly functional
I am looking for any resources or help in the Denver/Colorado Springs area in educating him. We had him in the normal academic environment and now are interested in other options.
The public school has totally failed us in providing for his needs. It went so far as attempting to place him in a program for emotionally disturbed and violent children.
When we said no to this prospect they turned us into the Department of social services for educational neglect. Social services saw right through the school's intent and actions. I am looking for some help with an IEP and a good Lawyer
to force the school to provide for his needs, not to mention prevent them from doing this to other parents. Any good ideas are welcome.
