possible learning disability

Posted by stacy norris

My 9 year old son has been struggling in school since kindergarden. He was evaluate for speech and diagnosised with speech "issues" After a year in therapy the therapist decided that he was "cured". Now he is displaying problems with reading. After researching I discovered that his reading issues could be linked to his speech problem. My son was accessed outside the school and discovered to have no phonics skills. I am pressuring the school to do the testing but to no avail. What is my next step? I really feel like I am hitting a brick wall.
