I too am fighting with the Catholic and Public school system in the city of Chicago to try and get my son the help he needs. The Catholic schools in the area are not required to provide help for children with special needs, and the public schools deal with school districts. I am trying to place my son in the school best equiped to help him but I am not in that school district. Can someone let me know how I can get around this since my son is considered a child with special needs and also because I know that this particular school has taken other students in who are not in te district. I would greatly appreciate any feedback that could help.
